Bergamot Oil

What is Bergamot Oil ?

Bergamot oil comes from the peel of a bitter orange tree, originally from India, and later produced in China and Italy. Its efficacy varies depending on the variety grown in its region, resulting in some differences in taste and composition. In traditional Chinese medicine texts, it has long been listed as a medicine for respiratory diseases. According to the *Compendium of Materia Medica*, bergamot is slightly bitter, sour, and warm in nature, entering the liver, spleen, stomach, and lung meridians. It has the effects of soothing the liver and regulating qi, drying dampness and resolving phlegm, and can be used for liver and stomach qi stagnation, and chest and rib distension.

The earliest use of bergamot in aromatherapy was for its antibacterial effects, comparable to lavender. It can combat indoor dust mites and is therefore often used to relieve allergic rhinitis and childhood asthma. Diffusing it indoors not only creates a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere but also purifies the air and prevents the spread of viruses. When used in skin massage, it is very helpful for oily skin with acne, helping to balance the secretion of sebaceous glands in oily skin.

100% Natural Pure Essential Oil Bergamot Oil Cold Pressed 0

Feature

Soothes Mood and Relieves Anxiety

Its aroma has been shown to activate the brain's serotonin and dopamine systems, effectively relieving stress, tension, and anxiety, bringing a pleasant and relaxed mood. It has a dual regulatory ability of invigorating and calming, both uplifting the spirit and aiding sleep, especially suitable for insomnia caused by anxiety.

Skin Care
It has gentle antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, effectively inhibiting acne-causing bacteria. As an astringent, it helps tighten pores and regulate sebum secretion, effectively improving oily skin, blackheads, and acne.

Natural Cleansing and Purifying
Its powerful antibacterial properties make it an effective natural surface cleaner and air purifier. It eliminates odors and brings a fresh, pleasant atmosphere to spaces.

Promotes Digestion
Gently massaging diluted bergamot oil onto the abdomen can help relieve indigestion, bloating, and cramps by relaxing abdominal muscles and relieving tension.

Boosts Immunity
Some preliminary studies suggest it may support immune system function by stimulating white blood cell activity.
