Calcium gluconate is an organic calcium salt with the chemical formula C12H22O14Ca. It appears as a white crystalline or granular powder with a melting point of 201℃ (decomposes). It is odorless and tasteless, readily soluble in boiling water (20g/100mL), and slightly soluble in cold water (3g/100mL, 20℃). Its aqueous solution is neutral (pH approximately 6-7). Calcium gluconate is mainly used as a calcium fortifier and nutrient in food, as well as a buffer, solidifying agent, and chelating agent.

Rapidly replenishes calcium and maintains blood calcium levels: Calcium gluconate has high solubility, and the calcium ions (Ca²⁺) it dissociates can be rapidly absorbed by the intestines, effectively increasing serum calcium concentration. It directly participates in bone mineralization, providing essential raw materials for bone and teeth formation and maintenance, and can alleviate muscle spasms and increased nerve excitability caused by hypocalcemia.
Maintaining normal neuromuscular function: Calcium ions are key messengers for nerve impulse transmission and muscle contraction, stabilizing cell membrane potential and regulating neurotransmitter release. It can reduce capillary permeability and alleviate tissue edema and skin/mucous membrane symptoms caused by allergic reactions.
Participating in coagulation and cell signal transduction: Calcium is coagulation factor IV and is indispensable in the multi-stage reaction of prothrombin activation to thrombin. As an intracellular second messenger, it participates in various physiological processes such as hormone secretion, gene expression regulation, and cell proliferation and differentiation.
Treatment of Calcium Deficiency-Related Diseases: Used as a medicine to treat acute hypocalcemia (such as tetany), chronic calcium deficiency, and vitamin D deficiency rickets. Also used as a calcium supplement for pregnant women, lactating women, and the elderly to prevent osteoporosis and fracture risk.
Anti-allergy and Electrolyte Regulation: Intravenous injection is used to relieve acute allergic symptoms such as urticaria and angioedema, and to treat magnesium poisoning. It is added to infusion or dialysis fluids as an electrolyte supplement to maintain normal excitability of the myocardium and neuromuscular system.
Food and Nutritional Fortification: Added as a calcium fortifier to milk powder, cereals, beverages, and other foods to prevent insufficient calcium intake in the population. Formulated as oral liquids, tablets, or candies as a daily dietary supplement, especially suitable for nutritional support during the bone development period of children and adolescents.
Other Professional Applications: In agriculture, it is used as a calcium source for post-harvest treatment of fruits and vegetables, used for fruit soaking or spraying to improve fruit firmness and extend shelf life. As a feed additive, it prevents calcium deficiency in livestock and poultry and improves eggshell quality and milk production.
For some products that require special packaging during transportation, we will carry out more delicate packaging. For example, retinal needs to be stored at -20 °C, so we choose cold chain transportation during transportation; deoxyarbutin will change color during transportation, so we will Vacuum packing of deoxyarbutin
