Sodium Saccharin

What is Sodium Saccharin?

Sodium saccharin, chemically known as sodium o-benzoyl sulfimide, is one of the earliest used synthetic non-nutritive sweeteners. Sodium saccharin is a colorless crystal or white crystalline powder, readily soluble in water, and its sweetness is approximately 300-500 times that of sucrose, but it can have a bitter taste at high concentrations. As a classic food additive, sodium saccharin provides a sweet sensation, but it is not metabolized or absorbed by the human body and has no nutritional value.

Food Grade Sodium Saccharin CAS 128-44-9 Sugar Substitute Sweetener for Food and Beverage 0

Feature

Providing High Sweetness and Reducing Costs: Sodium saccharin in dilute solutions is 300-500 times sweeter than sucrose, and its price is far lower, significantly reducing food production costs. Due to its low calorie content and inability to be absorbed by the human body, it has been used as a sugar substitute by patients with obesity, hyperlipidemia, and diabetes.

As a Sweetener and Flavor Enhancer: Sodium saccharin is approved for use as a sweetener and flavor enhancer. It is relatively stable in aqueous solutions, but slowly decomposes upon boiling, and loses its sweetness and turns bitter when heated under acidic conditions.

Improving Feed Palatability and Enhancing Animal Growth Performance: Adding sodium saccharin to weaned piglet feed can significantly reduce the feed conversion ratio. Studies have confirmed that sodium saccharin can significantly improve the daily weight gain and feed conversion efficiency of dairy goats.

Applications

Food Industry Applications: Widely used in frozen drinks, jams, preserved fruits, and other processed products. It is also applied in beverages, jellies, pickles, pastries, and formulated wines.

Feed Additives: Used as a sweetener in pig feed and as a flavoring agent to increase feed intake and growth rate in monogastric animals.

Chemical Industry Applications: Widely added to toothpaste, mouthwash, and eye drops as a sweetener. Its high sweetness is used to improve the taste of oral care products.

Package & Storage
Our packing method is 1KG/Aluminium bags, 25kg/drum

For some products that require special packaging during transportation, we will carry out more delicate packaging. For example, retinal needs to be stored at -20 °C, so we choose cold chain transportation during transportation; deoxyarbutin will change color during transportation, so we will Vacuum packing of deoxyarbutin
