What is King Oyster Mushroom Extract Powder Polysaccharide ?   

King oyster mushroom polysaccharide is the main active ingredient extracted from king oyster mushrooms, composed of galactose and glucose. Its extraction process includes hot water extraction, ultrasound-assisted extraction, and response surface methodology optimization. Key steps involve ultrafine grinding and controlled alcohol precipitation volume ratio. Studies have shown that this polysaccharide possesses immunomodulatory functions, activating macrophage proliferation and promoting cytokine secretion, exhibiting significant activity at a concentration of 100 μg/mL.


King oyster mushroom polysaccharide exerts its lipid-lowering effect by regulating lipid metabolism indicators (such as reducing LDL-C and VLDL-C), while also demonstrating antioxidant properties by scavenging hydroxyl radicals and superoxide anions. As an important product in the edible fungi processing field, this polysaccharide has been applied to agricultural and sideline product development, forming a factory-scale production system.

Feature

Immunomodulatory Effects: Pleurotus eryngii polysaccharides promote the secretion of NO, TNF-α, and IL-6 by RAW264.7 macrophages through activation of the MAPK signaling pathway (p38, ERK, JNK) and NF-κB phosphorylation. Within the concentration range of 0.05–2 mg/mL, the polypeptide fraction (PMEP) can increase macrophage proliferation.


Metabolic Regulation Properties: Medium to high doses of polysaccharides can reduce blood glucose levels in adrenaline-induced hyperglycemic mice.They improve lipid metabolism by regulating the HDL-C/LDL-C ratio and inhibit weight gain in hyperlipidemic mice. 


Antioxidant Properties: The sulfonated polysaccharide (S.PEPS) achieves 78% and 65% scavenging rates of OH· and O2-·, respectively, which are more than 25% higher than the unmodified fraction. This antioxidant activity is related to its enhancement of endogenous antioxidant enzyme systems such as SOD and catalase.
